The app bridges the gap between fans' desire to obtain exclusive event merchandise and the challenges posed by crowded venues and limited availability. By utilizing mobile technology and QR codes, swag.bag transforms the way fans engage with concert merchandising, ensuring a seamless and convenient experience.
CONTEXT
swag.bag originated from personal experience during my first K-pop concert. Having arrived at the venue hours in advance and waiting for extensive periods—3 to 4 hours each day, for two consecutive days—only to discover that the specific item I wanted had already been sold out, left me feeling like I had wasted valuable time. This frustration led me to question the efficiency of the existing merchandise purchasing process and whether there could be a more streamlined way to acquire concert memorabilia. Conversations with fellow fans in the line revealed that my experience was far from unique—many others shared the same sentiments and encountered similar challenges. Inspired by these shared frustrations, I became determined to create a solution that would enhance the concert merchandising experience for fans, ultimately leading to the inception of the swag.bag app.
